Starting is the most difficult part of working from
home. Most people get in their own way
and never jump in and start. It is easy to convince yourself that it won’t
work. Just getting in there and writing
is a big part of the hurdle. The results may build slowly, but you will be
closer to your goal just by beginning. Breaking up the ideas into little doable
parts is the biggest tip I can give you for starting.
The second part is that the process is confusing.
There are
so many things to learn that it can get overwhelming. I have been blogging for
quite a while and tried a variety of things to make money. Every time I try something new, I learn
something about the process. I have
tried writing articles, transcribing, SEO.
I have embraced learning about the technology and keeping current. I try things with a good attitude that even if
it doesn’t work out, I have learned what not to do. This is vital to keep up
with the process.
Save your work as you go. I cannot emphasize this enough. Not
all the interfaces for working from home are great. It is heart breaking to
lose hours of work, because you forgot to save. I have done this, and it is not
fun.
Keep organized in the process. Write or keep track of
websites and password carefully, because it takes time to recover passwords and
it is frustrating. Beware of scams and fake sites because they are out there. Look at reviews on work for hire sites and if
something seems off, don’t do it.
Protecting yourself and trust your judgement. There are many legitimate sites that do not
require money to start. Writing blog
articles, transcribing, survey sites are examples of work that don’t require
any money to complete.
